Dorsium is committed to protecting consumer rights in accordance with EU consumer protection laws, particularly Directive 2011/83/EU on Consumer Rights. This page outlines your rights as a consumer when purchasing hardware, Platform Access Licenses (PALs), or engaging with Dorsium services.
1. Right to Information (Before Purchase)
Under EU law, you have the right to receive clear information before making a purchase. Dorsium provides:
1.1 Product Information
- Clear description of hardware (Node Rig, Validator Rig) specifications
- Clear description of PAL benefits (dPOINT allocation, mining multipliers, etc.)
- Pricing in EUR (including VAT where applicable)
- Shipping costs and delivery timelines
- dPOINT allocation details and vesting schedules

1.3 Payment Information

2. Right of Withdrawal (14-Day Cooling-Off Period)
2.1 Hardware Purchases
Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU Article 9-16, you have the right to withdraw from your hardware purchase within 14 calendar days of receiving the product, without giving any reason.
Conditions:
- The outer protective seal must be INTACT (unopened)
- Hardware has NOT been powered on
- All original packaging, accessories, and documentation must be included
- You must notify us in writing at hello@dorsium.com
Withdrawal Process:
- Email hello@dorsium.com within 14 days of delivery
- Include your order reference number
- Ship the unopened hardware to the address provided
- Refund processed within 14 days of receiving the returned hardware
Important: Breaking the tamper-evident seal voids your withdrawal right under Article 16(e) (unsealed goods cannot be resold as new). This is communicated to you BEFORE purchase.
Shipping costs: You are responsible for the cost of returning the product (unless Dorsium offers free returns).
2.2 Platform Access Licenses (PALs)
Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU Article 16(m), you have the right to withdraw within 14 days of payment for digital content.
Conditions:
- You must withdraw BEFORE the PAL is delivered/activated to your account
- Once digital content delivery begins, withdrawal rights may be limited
Important: By purchasing a PAL, you expressly request immediate delivery and acknowledge that you may lose your right of withdrawal once the PAL is activated.
Withdrawal Process:

- Include your order reference number and reason for withdrawal
- Refund processed within 14 days (if PAL not yet delivered)
3. Right to Clear and Transparent Terms
Dorsium provides:

- Pricing transparency: All costs disclosed upfront (no hidden fees)
4. Right to Fair Commercial Practices
Dorsium commits to:
- No misleading advertising: All marketing claims are factual and verifiable
- No aggressive selling: No high-pressure tactics or FOMO manipulation
- No hidden costs: All fees disclosed before purchase
- Honest risk disclosure: Risks clearly stated (no profit guarantees)
Prohibited practices:
- Claiming DORS tokens guarantee profits or returns
- Using "investment" language for utility tokens
- Promising price appreciation or ROI
- Misleading users about token classification
5. Right to Redress (Dispute Resolution)
5.1 Internal Complaints

5.2 EU Consumer Rights

7. Right to Security and Safety
Dorsium commits to:
- Secure payment processing: Bank transfers with full audit trails
- KYC verification: Identity verification to prevent fraud

9. Special Protections for Minors
Dorsium services are NOT available to users under 18 years old:

10. Warranty and Liability
10.1 Hardware Warranty
- Warranty period: 12 months from delivery
- Coverage: Manufacturing defects and malfunctions
- Exclusions: User damage, wear and tear, software issues

10.2 Limitation of Liability
Under applicable EU consumer protection laws, Dorsium's liability is limited to:
- Direct damages caused by Dorsium's negligence
- Refund of purchase price (for defective products)
Dorsium is NOT liable for:
- Indirect or consequential damages (loss of profits, token value fluctuations)
- User error (lost private keys, incorrect transactions)
- Force majeure events (network attacks, regulatory bans)
